Practical BIM courses for construction professionals. Learn what you can apply on your next project.

Why simsalaBIM e-courses?

Real-world examples

Every course is built around real IFC models and live construction projects — not slides and theory.

Ready-to-use tools

You leave with templates, workflows and files you can open in your own projects the same day.

Built for construction, not IT

BIM doesn’t have to be complicated. We explain everything in plain language — from one construction professional to another.

Our Courses

All courses include 12 months of access with unlimited replays and a certificate of completion.

About simsalaBIM Academy

simsalaBIM Academy is run by TARCON (TARCON homepage), a BIM consultancy based in Estonia. We’ve spent years working on real construction projects — coordinating models, catching clashes before they become problems on site, and helping teams actually use the data they’re paying to create.

We started this platform because the same questions kept coming up. Estimators still doing quantity takeoffs from 2D drawings. Models handed over at project end instead of guiding the work. People on site with no idea the model even exists.

The gap isn’t technical — it’s training. Most BIM courses are built for software trainers, not construction professionals. We built ours differently.

Every course here is based on real project work. You’ll use actual IFC files, see real coordination problems, and leave with something you can open in your own project the next day.

Our office is at Jalgpalli tn 1, Tallinn, Estonia — but our courses are fully online, so you can join from anywhere.

Clients about trainings

I attended the training 'Effective Computer User to BIM Practitioner' and gained many practical tips that I plan to put to use in my daily work. The various topics were logically brought together into one training, and every participant will certainly find something new and useful there. The training helps break long-established habits and thereby save time on a daily basis.
Neti Tamtik
BIM Coordinator
What was most valuable to me was how the training helped make sense of the possibilities that Simplebim opens up in the direction of model-based pre-estimation. This approach does not only support the contractor in preparing tender bids, but also gives the client an effective tool for budget monitoring and control — both in the tendering phase and when assessing the scope of construction work.
